Abstract

Abstract. The ecological education of the population is the direction of the state policy in the field of ecology within the framework of the concept of sustainable development of society.

Problem, goal, tasks. In the field of the ecological education, we can identify the problem of increasing environmental literacy of the population in rural areas. The purpose of the work is to prepare a base for field practice and expeditions of schoolchildren (arrangement of eco-trails) within the framework of the project «Center for the Cognition of Nature and Homeland»

Research materials and Methods. The reconnaissance route was completed in Oct. 2019. Field work was carried out in the snowless period of 2020 in the Alnashsky district of the Udmurt Republic near of the settlements Romashkino and Kucheryanovo. The studies were carried out in the course of a detailed route study of the biota and landscape along the route of the ecotrail and in the adjacent territory with photographic recording and collection of materials (herbarium, animal collections), determination of geographical coordinates with a GPS device. According to the results of the study, the route of the ecotrail was developed, models of 24 information stands were prepared. The texts of excursions were prepared for 4 age categories of visitors: «junior schoolchildren», «middle school age», «senior schoolchildren», «adults».

Results and discussion. An ecotrail has been created on the territory of the Alanshsky district. The route of the ecotrail had a maximum length of 4.7 km: The duration of the excursion along the ecotrail route is from 1 to 4 academic hours. The authors, as part of a scientific team of researchers, prepared information stands at 24 stopping points. The texts of excursions for visitors of different ages have been compiled.

Conclusions and conclusion.

  1. A detailed study of the biota of the environs of the ecotrail was carried out. 502 species and 6 interspecific hybrids of vascular plants, 32 species of mosses, 55 species of lichens, 82 species of macromycetes, 162 species of vertebrates were identified. The invertebrate fauna was estimated at 8,000 species.
  2. Based on the results of the study, the route of the ecotrail was developed, models of 24 information stands at the stops along the ecotrail were prepared

Thus, to date, an ecotrail has been created in the area of the settlements Romashkino and Kucheryanovo of the Alnashsky district of Udmurtia.
