MOTIVATION FOR SERVING IN THE MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS OF RUSSIA AS AN INDICATOR OF COMPETENCE

The article proposes to consider the motivation for joining the service and serving in the state fire service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as one of the indicators of competence of employees of fire departments. During the research period, an interview was conducted with candidates for service in the Seversk Fire and Rescue garrison, during which the reasons and motives for employment and further professional activity were established. To assess the level of competence of employees, it is proposed to classify the data obtained. An analysis of the survey responses was carried out, according to the results of which the motives were classified as biological, that is, aimed at satisfying one's own needs and social, characterizing a person as a socially significant individual. Regardless of the classification, all candidates for the service had one or another motive for carrying out professional activities.
